ABOUT HER
KATHRYN is a Canadian-American VFX Supervisor for film and television projects worldwide — working on location across Asia, Europe, and North America, and building trusted relationships with studios, vendors, and creatives, above and below the line.
She came up in New York, learning the craft as an assistant to A-list directors on tentpole productions. The Amazing Spider-Man introduced her to the power and pleasure of VFX:
"VFX is the magic marker of film. Learn how and when to use it alongside the real colours every other department brings, and you can build whatever you imagine."
Kathryn's work is guided by two things she refuses to trade off: artistry that serves the story, and the execution to protect it — through smart innovation, careful budgets, and people who feel good doing the work. She gives grace, delivers killer creative, and meets every day on set with indomitable optimism.
I grew up on Vancouver Island — the rainiest place in North America — spending a lot of time indoors falling in love with movies. I never got over it.
Still chasing that feeling.
